Symbiogenesis
An evolutionary mechanism where two or more distinct, free-living organisms permanently merge into a single, new composite organism.Hand-drawn in pencil on cellulose-fiber paper and brought to life with watercolor, Symbiogenesis arrives as an interwoven tapestry of flat ontology. Habitat, hydrology, neighborhood, rail, and pedestrian arterials enter the frame on a single plane, each equally contributing to the urban fabric. Every line conducts energy, memory, data, constraint, intent, validation, and reasoning as a translationship between objects, constituting a synthetic ecology where human and autonomous actors no longer coexist but merge into one body. The work is an instrument of evidence that human and synthetic ecologies have already fused. The architect's role evolves from form-maker to ontological curator, amplifying, suppressing, or neutralizing what conducts through composed closed-loop systems. Watercolor is the medium symbiogenesis requires. Pigment bleeds across every boundary, merging into ever-transformed bodies of color.
